Singapore Airlines And Scoot To Open Full Flight Network For Quarantine Free Entry Into Singapore

From April 1, 2022, fully vaccinated passengers on all Singapore Airlines (SIA) and Scoot flights will be allowed quarantine-free entry into Singapore, with no on-arrival test or quarantine procedures.

The decision follows the Singapore government’s decision to streamline entry procedures for all travellers who have been vaccinated against Covid-19 and children aged 12.

As a result, beginning April 1, SIA and Scoot will no longer designate specific Vaccinated Travel Lane flights, and passengers travelling on all flights operated by both airlines will be permitted to enter the country quarantine-free.

With the decision comes, all qualifying passengers now have access to the entire SIA and Scoot network. Currently, SIA and Scoot fly to Singapore from 97 cities in 34 countries.

However, all fully vaccinated travellers must still complete a pre-departure test and meet current visa criteria.

Moreover, all travellers, regardless of vaccination status, will be permitted to transit through Singapore on almost all SIA and Scoot flights from April 1 if they meet the entry requirements of their final destination.

New Guidelines For Travellers To Singapore

Travellers can take any flight option available to travel to Singapore from any of the Indian cities. There is no need to apply for the Vaccinated Travel Pass entry approval anymore.

Travellers to Singapore will need only to take a pre-departure Covid-19 test 2 days before departure from India. No other test is required when they are in Singapore.

Singapore will also ease restrictions in the country with effect from 29 March, including:

  • The maximum size for social gatherings will be doubled from the current 5 to 10 pax. Up to 10 people can dine together at the same table.
  • While wearing masks indoors remains mandatory, wearing masks outdoors will be optional.
  • Consumption and sale of alcohol at F&B establishments after 10.30 pm are allowed. Live performances will also be allowed to resume at all venues.
