The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) on Tuesday announced that it will allow quarantine-free entry to travelers vaccinated against COVID-19 from Australia and Switzerland from 08th Nov 2021.

The country is slowly re-opening its borders and has expanded quarantine-free travel to nearly a dozen countries, including Germany, Canada, France, Britain, and the United States, under its Vaccinated Travel Lanes (VTL) programme.

Under the VTL, fully vaccinated travelers from these countries may enter Singapore without quarantine and just need to undergo COVID-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) testing.

Children aged 12 years and below who are not vaccinated will be allowed to travel under the VTL into Singapore if they are accompanied by a VTL traveler who meets all VTL requirements.

Earlier, passengers had to take four such tests to gain entry.
