In a bid to enhance its electronic services for the local employment sector, the Qiwa platform, operated by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, has recently launched a convenient new feature.

This service allows employers to pay work permit fees using credit cards and mada debit cards. Previously, the only available option for payment was through the SADAD payment system.

The introduction of this service coincides with the start of the new fiscal year, impacting numerous establishments whose fiscal year commences at the beginning of the Hijri year.

Facilitating Payments through Qiwa Digital Wallet

With the implementation of this new feature, employers can now have the work permit fee amount debited directly from their Qiwa digital wallet. This streamlined approach eliminates the need for multiple steps and offers a more convenient way to handle financial transactions related to work permits.

Enhanced Financial Management for Employers

Apart from offering ease of payment, some credit cards also provide additional benefits. Certain bank cards offer services to recover a portion of the amounts paid through them or reward their owners with free points.

This further incentivizes employers to utilize the Qiwa platform for managing their work permit fees.

User-Friendly Contract Documentation Process

Qiwa has made the process of contract documentation user-friendly for employers. The steps include:

  1. Logging into the establishment’s account on the platform.
  2. Selecting the relevant establishment and accessing electronic services.
  3. Creating a new contract and entering the verification code received on the mobile.
  4. Managing and documenting contracts by providing employee data and contract details, and uploading the contract.

Qiwa Platform’s Ongoing Expansion

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development continues to transfer various services to the Qiwa platform to streamline operations and ensure better access to workforce resources. The latest inclusion is the Ajeer program, a specialized service for organizing temporary work and facilitating workforce acquisition.
