Saudi Arabia has recently introduced a new temporary work visa, which allows enterprises to issue a visa for a period of three months. According to Qiwa, the visa can be extended for a similar period.

Online Application Process for Temporary Work Visa

The online application process for a temporary work visa is simple and straightforward. The business account must be logged in, and the temporary work visa service must be selected from the e-services menu. Then, before submitting the request, click the submit temporary work visa request button and fill out all of the fields.

It is important to note that the request must be made by the business owner or a Qiwa commissioner. After submitting the request, the online work visa will be issued immediately via the Qiwa platform, with no need for documents.

Here are the steps for applying for the temporary work visa online:

  1. Log in to the enterprise’s account on the Qiwa platform.
  2. Choose the temporary work visa service from the e-services section.
  3. Click on the “Submit temporary work visa request” button.
  4. Fill in all the required fields, which include personal information and visa details.
  5. Once you have completed filling out the form, click on the “Submit” button to submit the request.
  6. Note that the request must be submitted by the business owner or a commissioner on Qiwa business.
  7. The online work visa will be issued immediately through the Qiwa platform, and there is no need for any additional documents.
  8. After the visa is issued, the applicant will receive a confirmation message via email or SMS.

Eligibility Criteria for the Visa

To be eligible for the temporary work visa, the enterprise must be active and have a valid commercial registration, except for activities that do not require commercial registration.

Furthermore, the enterprise Nitaqat must be on a medium green level, and enterprises with the same unified number must not have any expired work permits and must have sufficient credit in the enterprise’s national unified number on Absher.

Reasons for Visa Rejection

There are several reasons for visa rejection, such as insufficient balance in the unified number of the enterprise on the Absher account, rejection from the Ministry of Interior, or cancel the visa.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

The issued visas can be cancelled, and a refund for government fees will be credited to the enterprise in accordance with the service terms and conditions.

To request a refund, the enterprise’s owner or a commissioner must log in to the account, select the temporary work visa service from e-services, select the balance requests from the requests list, click cancel the package, and confirm cancellation.

  1. Log in to the enterprise’s account on the Qiwa platform.
  2. Choose the temporary work visa service from the e-services section.
  3. Select the “Balance Requests” option from the requests list.
  4. Click on the “Cancel Package” button.
  5. Confirm the cancellation request.
  6. Once the request is submitted, the balance will be credited back to the enterprise’s account within a specific period, based on the terms and conditions of the service.

It’s important to note that the refund request must be submitted by the business owner or a commissioner of the Qiwa business.

Also, the balance must be used within one year of purchase and the package cannot be refunded after 30 days. Furthermore, applicants are not permitted to transfer the visa balance to another enterprise.
