Rajdhani Superfast Special Train Between Mumbai-Delhi To Speed Up From Jan 9

The Indian Railway Minister, Piyush Goyal on Thursday said that from 9th January, passengers travelling by Rajdhani Superfast special between Mumbai & Delhi will reach their destination faster than before, with revised timings & an additional halt at Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh.

The Central Railway has decided to speed up Train No. 01221/01222 Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai – Hazrat Nizamuddin (4 days a week) Rajdhani superfast special.

According to him, this will reduce travel time & enhance passenger convenience.

As per the press release issued by the Central Railway, the revised timing will be as further:

  • Train No. 01221 Rajdhani superfast special with effect from 9.1.2021 will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai at 16.00 hrs on every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and arrive Hazrat Nizamuddin at 09.55 hrs next day.
  • Train No. 01222 Rajdhani superfast special with effect from 10.1.2021 will leave Hazrat Nizamuddin at 16.55 hrs on every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday and arrive Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai at 11.15 hrs next day.

Revised Halts: Kalyan, Nashik Road, Jalgaon, Bhopal, Jhansi, Gwalior and Agra Cantt.

Only passengers having confirmed tickets will be permitted to board these special trains. Passengers are advised to adhere to all norms, SOPs related to COVID-19 during the boarding, travel and at the destination, said the press release.
