Railways To Operate Two Special Trains To Northern Hill Stations: Details Here

Indian Railways has announced that it will run two special trains for people who wish to travel to the northern hill stations in India.

The Indian Railways in a statement said that it will operate two special trains between Lucknow-Kathgodam and Gorakhpur-Malini

Here is all the details of newly announced special trains of Indian Railways.

Lucknow – Kathgodam Special Train

The Lucknow-Kathgodam special, train number 05043, will run between Lucknow and Kathgodam. This train will run five days a week. The special train will start from 06.01.20 till 31.01.20 every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. On Sunday, the train will start from Lucknow station at 11.25 pm and arrive at Kathgodam at 08.05 hrs.

Similarly, on return from Kathgodam to Lucknow, the train will run five days a week i.e. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and on Saturday, the train will start from Kathgodam at 11.45 am will arrive at Lucknow on 07.20 pm. On the way, the train will stop at Bareilly, Bareilly City, Izzatnagar, Bhaujipura, Baheri, Kichha, Pantnagar, Lalkua, and Haldwani stations from both sides.

Gorakhpur – Malini Special Train

Train number 05009 from Gorakhpur to Malini will be run from 06.01.2021 to 31.01.2021 from Gorakhpur at 10.20 pm. The next day, this train will reach Malini at 12.15 pm. In return, train number 05010 Malini-Gorakhpur special train will run from Malini from 06.01.2021 to 31.01.2021 at 05.30 pm and reach Gorakhpur at 06.45 am the next day.

The train will stop at these stations en route: Train number 05009/05010 Train from Gorakhpur to Malini Special Train will stop at Maniram, Peppeganj, Kamparganj, Anand Nagar, Uska Bazaar, Siddharth Nagar, Shohratgarh, Barahani, Pachpedwa, Tulsipur, Jharkhandi, Balrampur, Gonda Jn, Barabanki Jn, Gomtnagar, Lucknow Aishbagh, Lucknow City, Sidhauli, Sitapur Jn, Hargaon, Lakhimpur and Gola Gokarnanath stations on both sides.

Last week the Ministry of Railways has extended the time limit beyond six months and up to nine months from the date of the journey for cancellation of PRS counter tickets and refund of fare across reservation counters for the journey period 21 March 2020 to 31 July 2020.
