Railways Plans To Operate 7 More Pairs of Festival Special Trains: Check Details

In order to meet the high travel demands amid the Christmas and holiday season, the Western Railway has decided to extended the operation of 7 pair of festival special trains.

“For the convenience of passengers & with a view to meet the travel demand, Railways have decided to further extend the running of seven pairs of festival special trains with 80 additional services,” the railways said in a statement.

Two pairs of special trains will be extended by Western Railway between Ahmedabad -Yasvantpur and Gandhidham – KSR Bengaluru and Five pairs of Special trains between Jodhpur -KSR Bengaluru, Ajmer-Mysore, Yasvantpur-Jaipur, KSR Bengaluru-Ajmer, and KSR Bengaluru-Jodhpur will pass over Western Railway.

According to a press release issued by Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, the dates up to which the additional trips have been extended are as under:

1. Train No. 06501/06502 Ahmedabad – Yasvantpur Special (110 Trips)

Train No 06501 Ahmedabad – Yasvantpur special will depart Ahmedabad every Tuesday at 18.40 hrs & will reach Yasvantpur at 04.45 hrs on Thursday. This train will run till 2′ February 2021.

Similarly, Train No 06502 Yasvantpur – Ahmedabad special will leave Yasvantpur every Sunday at 13.30 hrs & will reach Ahmedabad at 02.20 hrs on Tuesday. This train will run till 31″ January 2021.

Enroute this train will halt at Anand Jn, Vadodara 1n, Ankleshwar 1n, Surat, Nandurbar, Jalgaon 1n, Manmad Jn, Kopargaon, Belapur, Ahmadnagar, Daund 1n, Solapur 1n, Kalaburagi, Wadi, Raichur, Manthralayam Rd, Adoni, Guntakal 1n, Anantapur, Dharmavaram Jn and Hindupur stations in both directions. This train comprises of AC 2 Tier, AC 3 Tier, Sleeper Class, Second class seating coaches.

2. Train No 06505/06506 Gandhidham – Ksr Bengaluru Festival Special (Weekly) 110 Trips.

Train No 06505 Gandhidham – Ksr Bengaluru special will depart Gandhidham every Tuesday at 09.00 hrs & will reach Ksr Bengaluru at 23.10 hrs next day. This train will run till 2′ February 2021.

Similarly, Train No 06506 Ksr Bengaluru – Gandhidham special will leave Ksr Bengaluru every Saturday at 22.15 hrs & will reach Gandhidham at 11.00 hrs on the third day. This train will run till 30th January 2021.

Enroute this train will halt at Samakhiali 1n, Dhrangandhra, Viramgam 1n, Ahmedabad, Nadiad Jn, Vadodara Jn, Ankleshwar 1n, Surat, Vasai Road, Bhivandi Rd, Kalyan Jn, Pune Jn, Satara, Karad, Sangli, Miraj Jn, Belagavi, Londa 1n, Dharwad, Hubbali 1n, Haveri, Ranibennur, Harihar, Davangere, Birur Jn, Arsikere 1n, Tiptur, Tumkur, Yasvantpur and Malleswaram stations in both directions. This train comprises of AC 2 Tier, AC 3 Tier, Sleeper Class, and Second class seating coaches.

3. Train No 06507/06508 Jodhpur – Ksr Bengaluru Festival Special (Bi-Weekly 16 Trips)

Train No 06507 Jodhpur – Ksr Bengaluru special will depart Jodhpur every Thursday & Saturday at 05.15 hrs & will reach Ksr Bengaluru at 03.00 hrs on Saturday & Monday resp. This train will run till 30th January 2021.

Similarly, Train No 06508 Ksr Bengaluru – Jodhpur special will leave Ksr Bengaluru every Monday & Wednesday at 22.15 hrs & will reach Jodhpur at 14.35 hrs on Wednesday & Friday resp. This train will run till 27′ January 2021.

Enroute this train will halt at Bhagat Ki Kothi, Luni Jn, Pali Marwar, Marwar Jn, Falna, Jawai Bandh, Abu Road, Palanpur Jn, Mahesana Jn, Ahmedabad, Nadiad Jn, Anand Jn, Vadodara Jn, Bharuch Jn, Surat, Navsari, Valsad, Vapi, Vasai Road, Kalyan Jn, Pune Jn, Satara, Karad, Sangli, Miraj Jn, Ghatprabha, Belagavi, Londa Jn, Dharwad, Hubballi Jn, Haveri, Ranibennur, Harihar, Davangere, Birur Jn, Arsikere Jn, Tiptur, Tumkur, Yasvantpur and Malleswaram stations in both directions. This train comprises of 1st AC, AC 2 Tier, AC 3 Tier, Sleeper Class, and Second class seating coaches.

4. Train No 06209/06210 Aimer – Mysore Festival Special (Bi-Weekly116 Trips)

Train No 06209 Ajmer – Mysore special will depart Ajmer every Friday & Sunday at 06.00 hrs & will reach Mysore at 02.15 hrs on Sunday & Tuesday resp. This train will run till 31′ January 2021.

Similarly, Train No 06210 Mysore – Ajmer special will leave Mysore every Tuesday & Thursday at 19.00 hrs & will reach Ajmer at 15.10 hrs on Thursday & Saturday resp. This train will run till 28th January 2021.

Enroute this train will halt at Beawar, Sojat Road, Marwar Jn, Falna, Pindwara, Abu Road, Palanpur Jn, Mahesana Jn, Ahmedabad, Nadiad Jn, Anand Jn, Vadodara Jn, Bharuch Jn, Surat, Valsad, Vapi, Palghar, Vasai Road, Bhivandi Rd, Kalyan Jn, Pune Jn, Satara, Karad, Sangli, Miraj Jn, Belagavi, Londa Jn, Dharwad, Hubballi Jn, Haveri, Ranibennur, Harihar, Davangere, Birur Jn, Arsikere Jn, Tiptur, Tumkur, Yasvantpur Jn, Malleswaram, Ksr Bengaluru, Ramanagaram and Mandya stations in both directions. 5. Train No. 06521/06522 Yasvantpur – Jaipur Suvidha Festival Special (Weeklvi 18 Trios).

Train No. 06521 Yasvantpur – Jaipur Suvidha Festival Special (Weekly) will depart from Yasvantpur at 11.30 hrs every Thursday and will reach Jaipur at 06.35 hrs on Saturday. This train will run till 28′ January 2021.

Similarly, Train No. 06522 Jaipur -Yasvantpur Suvidha Festival Special (Weekly) will depart from Jaipur at 22.15 hrs every Saturday and will reach Yasvantpur at 18.25 hrs on Monday. This train will run till 30′ January 2021.

On Western Railway, the train will halt at Vasai Road, Surat, Vadodara, Ratlam, Mandsor, and Chittaurgarh stations in both directions. This train comprises of AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class, Second Class Seating, and Pantry coaches.

6. Train No. 06205/06206 KSR Bengaluru – Ajmer Festival Special (Weekly) (10 Trips)

Train No. 06205 KSR Bengaluru – Ajmer Festival Special will depart from KSR Bengaluru at 17.00 hrs every Friday and will reach Ajmer at 17.30 hrs on Sunday. This train will run till 29″ January 2021.

Similarly, Train No. 06206 Ajmer – KSR Bengaluru Festival Special will depart from Ajmer at 05.30 hrs every Monday and will reach KSR Bengaluru at 05.30 hrs on Wednesday. This train will run till 1st February 2021.

On Western Railway, the train will halt at Vasai Road, Vapi, Valsad, Surat, Vadodara, Anand, Nadiad, Ahmedabad, and Palanpur stations in both directions. Stoppage of this train at Mahesana has been withdrawn. This train comprises of AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class, Second Class Seating, and Pantry coaches.

7. Train No. 06534/06533 KSR Bengaluru – Jodhpur Festival Special (Weekly 110 Trips)

Train No. 06534 KSR Bengaluru – Jodhpur Festival Special will depart from KSR Bengaluru at 17.00 hrs every Sunday and will reach Jodhpur at 14.35 hrs on Tuesday. This train will run till 315t January 2021.

Similarly, Train No. 06533 Jodhpur – KSR Bengaluru Festival Special will depart from Jodhpur at 05.55 hrs every Wednesday and will reach KSR Bengaluru at 03.00 hrs on Friday. This train will run till 3rd February 2020.

On Western Railway, the train will halt at Vasai Road, Valsad, Surat, Vadodara, Anand, Ahmedabad, and Mahesana stations in both directions. This train comprises of AC 2-Tier, AC 3-Tier, Sleeper Class, Second Class Seating, and Pantry coaches.

The booking for Train Nos. 06501 and 06505 will open from 24′ December 2020 at nominated PRS counters and on the IRCTC website.

At present, the railways is operating 736 special trains, 200 services of the Kolkata Metro, over 2,000 Mumbai suburban services, and 20 special clone trains.

Railways had suspended all passenger train services since the beginning of Covid-19 induced lockdown on March 24.
