Radisson Hotel Group Expands Presence in India with 11 New Hotels

In a bid to continue its rapid growth and development plan in India, Radisson Hotel Group has recently signed agreements for the construction of 11 new hotels across various brands.

These signings, which took place between January and April 2023, are strategically located in key gateway cities and emerging destinations such as Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Ujjain, Raipur, Sonamarg, Manali, Kerala, and Visakhapatnam.

Luxury Lifestyle Brand, Radisson Collection, Debuts in India

The hotel group is proud to announce the introduction of its luxury lifestyle brand, Radisson Collection, in India. The first hotel under this brand will be located in Hyderabad.

Additionally, Radisson Hotel Group will expand its portfolio across other popular brands including Radisson Blu, Radisson, Park Inn and Suites by Radisson, and Radisson Individuals Retreats, which is an extension of the Radisson Individuals brand.

These signings reinforce the Group’s leading position in South Asia, with a total of 110 operating hotels in over 64 locations.

Strengthening Partnership with Ruptub Solutions Private Limited

Radisson Hotel Group has further strengthened its partnership with Ruptub Solutions Private Limited by signing agreements for three new hotels under its Park Inn and Suites by Radisson brand.

These hotels will be located in Bengaluru and Kerala. Since its launch in November 2022, Park Inn and Suites by Radisson has been gaining traction, with a new signing every month. The brand’s conversion-friendly business model is designed to maximize returns while delivering a heartfelt experience to guests.

Radisson Collection Hotel Hyderabad Financial District: This 300-room hotel is situated close to Hyderabad’s financial district, which houses various business centers, IT Parks, and Special Economic Zones (SEZs). It will feature elegant rooms and suites with contemporary interiors, catering to different guest preferences. The hotel’s design will exude sophistication, showcasing elegant architecture, local influences, and an exceptional overall experience. The expected opening is in the second quarter of 2026.

Radisson Blu Resort Hyderabad Chevella: Located in Chevella, this 160-room hotel enjoys proximity to major tourist attractions such as Charminar Fort, Nehru Zoological Park, and Salar Jung Museum. The hotel will offer standard and executive room categories, along with facilities like all-day dining, speciality restaurants, bars, ballrooms, lawns, kids’ clubs, spas, and fitness centres. The expected opening is in the second quarter of 2026.

Radisson Hotel Sonamarg: This hotel is nestled in the picturesque destination of Sonamarg, surrounded by breathtaking views of the Himalayan mountains. With convenient access to the Thajwas Glacier and Srinagar-Ladakh highway, the hotel is already operational, offering spacious rooms, all-day dining options, and a tea lounge.

Radisson Hotel Sonipat: Strategically located between the industrial towns of Panipat and Sonipat, this hotel is the first branded offering in these cities. With 120 rooms, the hotel will offer standard and suite room categories, as well as a gym, spa, and banquet space. The expected opening is in the fourth quarter of 2024.

Radisson Hotel Ujjain: Situated in the pilgrim city of Ujjain, this 150-room hotel will be the first branded offering in the city. Guests will have a choice between standard and executive suite rooms, and the hotel will feature an all-day dining restaurant, speciality restaurant, ballroom, boardroom, banquet garden, swimming pool with deck, gymnasium, spa, yoga, and meditation centre. The expected opening is in the first quarter of 2026.

Radisson Hotel Raipur: Strategically located in Chhattisgarh’s capital city, this 130-room hotel boasts excellent visibility along the main road connecting Raipur with New Raipur. The hotel will offer standard rooms and executive suites, along with facilities such as all-day dining, lounge bars, boardrooms, conference rooms, ballrooms, swimming pools, gymnasiums, and spas. The expected opening is in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Radisson Hotel Visakhapatnam: Positioned in the Andhra Pradesh Medtech Zone, this 120-room hotel will provide standard and executive room categories. Guests will enjoy amenities such as all-day dining, bars, tea lounges, banquet halls, meeting rooms, swimming pools, health clubs, and spas. The expected opening is in the second quarter of 2026.

Palchan Hotel and Spa – Member of Radisson Individuals Retreats: Located in the popular leisure travel destination of Manali, this hotel offers stunning views of the Beas River and the Himalayas. Major tourist attractions including Rohtang Pass, Solang Valley, Gulaba Viewpoint, Jogini Waterfall, and Hidimba Devi Temple are conveniently located just a 10-minute drive away. The hotel will feature standard and suite rooms, along with all-day dining, restaurants, bars, rooftop speciality restaurants, banquet halls, swimming pools, gymnasiums, and spas. The expected opening is in the third quarter of 2023.

Radisson Hotel Group’s Vision for India

Ramzy Fenianos, the Chief Development Officer for APAC at Radisson Hotel Group, expressed the company’s commitment to the Indian market, stating, “India is an important market from a global strategy standpoint, and solidifying our footprint here is our long-term goal. Strong wins in 2022 established a robust path for growth this year. We are focused on doubling our footprint by 2025 and remain invested in identifying the right partners for signing and opening brand-defining hotels.”

Zubin Saxena, the Managing Director and Area Senior Vice President of South Asia at Radisson Hotel Group emphasized the significance of 2023 as a milestone year, marking the completion of the group’s 25-year journey in the Indian market.

Saxena also highlighted the commitment to the ambitious five-year expansion plan, with 11 new hotel signings already completed since January and a strong pipeline ahead for this year. The group’s primary focus remains on enhancing the brand structure and providing quality hospitality experiences across India.
