Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has said that more than 10 lakh 59 thousand people have benefited from Vande Bharat Mission.
In a tweet today, Mr. Puri said, more than 9 lakh 39 thousand stranded Indians have returned to India through various means and more than 1 lakh 20 thousand have flown out to various countries since 6th of May this year.
He said three thousand 841 Indians have returned from various countries yesterday. Mr. Puri said, government is continuously making efforts to reach out to citizens with a helping hand under phase 5 of the mission.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation, Govt of India has started flight operations to a number of countries from August 1 till month-end under the phase 5 of Vande Bharat Mission.
These flight operations are generally meant to repatriate stranded Indian from there.
Notably, the 5th phase of ‘Vande Bharat Mission’ has started from August 1 till 31 to repatriate Indians stranded from abroad.
