Oman Air Expands Its Network with Four New Destinations, Increased Frequencies

Oman Air, the national airline of the Sultanate of Oman, has revealed its summer schedule for 2023, continuing its dynamic strategy of fleet and network expansion.

The airline has announced the addition of four destinations, along with significant frequency increases on existing routes, providing approximately 60,000 more seats weekly across its network.

New Destinations

The airline will add four new destinations to its summer schedule, representing a 60% increase in the number of flights from its Muscat hub over last year.

Oman Air will begin four-weekly flights from Muscat to Chittagong at the end of March. Four-weekly flights from Muscat to the Maldives will begin at the end of June, followed by twelve-weekly flights from Muscat to Lucknow and five-weekly flights between Muscat and Thiruvananthapuram beginning in August.

Increased Frequencies

Due to popular demand, the new summer schedule will also see frequency increases on existing routes across four regions – Far East, Indian Sub-Continent, Europe, and GCC.

Oman Air will operate daily flights to Phuket, a popular tourist destination in Thailand, from March end, with wide-body aircraft.

Also, double-daily flights to Mumbai will commence at the same time, with wide-body aircraft. From March end, the airline will also operate daily flights to Moscow, and six-weekly flights to Paris.

Oman Air’s flights to the GCC region will also see an increase in frequency, with double-daily flights to Kuwait starting in June and five-daily flights to Salalah from July.

The airline will operate ten-weekly flights to Kuala Lumpur from June, double-daily flights to Chennai, Cochin, Kozhikode, and Hyderabad from March end, and daily flights to Trabzon and Istanbul, and Dhaka with wide-body aircraft.
