Malaysia Airlines Expands India Network with Daily Flights from Amritsar to Kuala Lumpur

Responding to strong travel demand and excellent load factors, Malaysia Airlines is set to increase its flight frequency on the Amritsar-Kuala Lumpur route from four to seven times weekly, starting August 1, 2024.

This expansion marks a significant increase from the airline’s previous schedule, which doubled from two to four weekly flights in January 2024, underscoring confidence in this rapidly growing market.

Increased Flight Frequencies in India

With this enhancement, Malaysia Airlines will now operate a total of 71 weekly flights across India. The Amritsar route, launched in November 2023, is one of three new Indian routes introduced last year, alongside Ahmedabad and Trivandrum. The Trivandrum route also saw an increase to four weekly flights as of April 3, 2024.

Malaysia Airlines offers an extensive network in India, covering nine major hubs:

3. Bengaluru
4. Chennai
5. Hyderabad
6. Kochi
7. Ahmedabad
8. Amritsar
9. Trivandrum.

Special Promotional Fares

To celebrate the increased flight frequencies, Malaysia Airlines is offering special promotional fares for Indian travellers. Round-trip fares from Amritsar to Kuala Lumpur start at INR 15,099 all-inclusive. These promotional tickets are available for purchase until June 7, 2024, for travel until March 31, 2025.

To expand its network reach, Malaysia Airlines has recently signed a codeshare agreement with IndiGo. This partnership allows Malaysia Airlines passengers to access a broader network within India through IndiGo flights.
