Lufthansa has announced Special Repatriation Flights to Frankfurt and Munich from Indian cities – Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru between 23-31 July.
“The Lufthansa Repatriation flights are in strict compliance with the EXIT and ENTRY regulations applicable at the origin and destination as defined by concerned authorities”, said the airline in its official post.

Eligibility For Travel
- All EU Nationals & Residents of EU
- All other Foreign Nationals and/or the spouse/children of such persons whether accompanying or otherwise. Indian Nationals holding US green cards, Canadian Permanent Residence status or any other eligible visa are permitted on this special relief flight if he/she is a spouse of a foreign national.
- Seamen of any nationality including Indian Seamen subject to clearance from the Ministry of Shipping
- All Indian Nationals destined for EU such as
- Students on Long Term Category “D” visa issued for study purpose travelling directly to the country of visa issuance as long as the studies cannot be carried out completely abroad
- Family reunion visa (Category “D”)
- Long-term (Category “D”) visa for employment in health and health research sectors, for care of the elderly as well as specialists and highly qualified workers whose employment is economically necessary and whose work cannot be postponed or carried out abroad
- or any other category that may be allowed by the EU Destination Country and permitted to transit via Frankfurt or Munich
“Prior to commencement of travel passengers are liable to recheck and ensure travel eligibility of their respective destination country and must comply with all regulations and entry exit/ rules for origin and destination countries and also transit regulations for Germany, where applicable. Compliance of health and sanitization measures applicable by the airlines and at origin & destination countries is mandatory for the passengers”, mentioned the airline.
