KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has unveiled its latest offering, the ‘Premium Comfort Class,’ in India, during an exclusive experiential showcase event for its valued customers and trade partners. The event provided guests with the opportunity to personally experience the enhanced comfort offered by the new cabin, featuring the actual Premium Comfort Class seats.
Acknowledging the significance of the Indian market, KLM has chosen to introduce its Premium Comfort Class on flights between Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai to Amsterdam, as well as on various routes across its extensive global network.
Passengers can enjoy the Premium Comfort Class experience on KLM’s Boeing 787 and Boeing 777 aircraft servicing the aforementioned routes throughout the year. The deployment will be contingent upon the availability of aircraft equipped with this new cabin.
KLM Premium Comfort Class: Enhancing the Journey
Pre-Departure Convenience
The Premium Comfort Class experience commences at the airport with an increased baggage allowance, exceeding that of Economy Class, for Standard and Flexible fare options. Passengers with Standard and Flexible fare options are entitled to carry two pieces of checked-in baggage, each weighing 23 kg.
Enjoy SkyPriority benefits, including expedited services at various touchpoints throughout the airport, ensuring a seamless travel experience.
Onboard Luxury
Premium Comfort Class provides passengers with an exclusive and tranquil cabin, separate from both Economy Class and Business Class. The seating capacity in Premium Comfort Class varies between 21 and 28 seats, depending on the aircraft type. These seats are more spacious and comfortable compared to Economy Class, featuring a 97 cm/38″ pitch and 20 cm/8″ recline.
- Up to 17 cm more legroom than a standard Economy Class seat
- Up to 20 cm recline
- 48 to 50 cm of space between armrests
- Movable leg- and footrest
- In-seat power
- The personal entertainment system of 13 inch
Lightweight Design
Collins Aerospace, in collaboration with KLM Customer Experience specialists, has designed the new Premium Comfort Class seats. Apart from their elegant design and comfort features, the seats are also lighter than their predecessors.
Delectable Catering
Premium Comfort Class offers a unique catering concept. On intercontinental flights, passengers can enjoy one or two hot meals, depending on the flight duration. A selection of meat, fish, and vegetarian dishes will always be available. Additionally, passengers will be served coffee, tea, liqueur, and ice cream after the main meal. A variety of snacks and cocktails will also be provided between meals.
Sustainability in Focus
Premium Comfort Class customers will receive a sustainable amenity kit made from recycled plastic.
The contents of the amenity kit were thoughtfully selected with sustainability in mind. For example, the eye mask is made from recycled plastic, the earplugs are wrapped in paper, and the toothpaste tablets, provided by Happy Tabs, and the bamboo toothbrush, supplied by Bamboovement, are also wrapped in paper. Furthermore, the pen is crafted from wheat straw, an agricultural residue.
Flying Blue Rewards
Passengers travelling in Premium Comfort Class will earn double the amount of Experience Points (XP) compared to those flying in Economy Class.
