Institutional Quarantine For All Passengers Travelling To Oman From Today

the Ministry of Social Development, Oman has announced that all passengers coming to Oman will have to stay in hotels for at least seven days as a part of institutional quarantine.

The procedures have been implemented at all Oman Airports from today and the passengers will have to book the hotels once they land in the airports.

The ministry has earmarked six hotels in Muscat governorate which have been identified as Swiss-Belinn Muscat, Ibis, Secure Inn, Sheraton, Tulip Inn, and Somerset Panorama Muscat.

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of Oman has also issued a circular for all the airlines operating to and from the Sultanate and asked them to follow the institutional quarantine guidelines.

Important Update for-passengers traveling to Oman

The guidelines stated “Based on the decision of the Supreme Committee dealing with (COVID-19) issued in its meeting on 10th February 2021, and based on coordination with the Medical Response and Public Health Sector and the Relief and Shelter Sector, the Civil Aviation Authority would like to inform for all airlines operating into the Sultanate of the followings:

  1. Impose mandatory institutional health isolation for all arrivals to the sultanate through airports at their own expense.
  2. For all flights arriving in Oman starting from Monday, 15th February 2021 at 12:00 pm, the operating airlines are committed to ensuring that there are pre-confirmed hotel reservations for all arrivals on their flights covering the mandatory quarantine period (at least 7 nights).
  3. Passengers arriving in Oman can book accommodation at any hotel in Oman, or take advantage of the list of hotels prepared and updated by the competent authorities for institutional isolation and published via the platform of (Oman Vs Covid19)”
