Leading Indian low-cost carrier IndiGo on Tuesday announced the resumption of direct flights service between Kolkata (CCU) and Hanoi (HAN) and Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) in Vietnam starting 22nd May 2022.
Due to the Covid-19 crisis, IndiGo discontinued its flights to Vietnam; however, now that the Indian government has reinstated regular international flights to/from the country, flights between Kolkata and Vietnam are scheduled to resume.

According to IndiGo’s official website, the non-stop flights between Kolkata and Hanoi will be operated twice a week every Monday and Friday; while the flights between Kolkata and Ho Chi Minh City will be operated three days a week. The detailed schedule of these flights will be as follow;

IndiGo also said that the above-motioned schedule and timing are subject to regulatory approvals.
The airline is also offering discounted round-trip fares of ₹13499 on the Kolkata-Hanoi-Kolkata route and ₹15499 on the Ho Chi Minh City route. However, the lowest all-inclusive return fare is only available for limited seats.
It is worth mentioning that, according to the Summer Schedule 2022, Indian carriers would operate 1,466 flights per week to 43 destinations across 27 countries, with IndiGo operating a maximum of 505 departures per week.
