This marks a strategic evolution for the airline, which has been operating exclusively with economy class for nearly 18 years.
Tailor-Made Business Product
As part of its anniversary celebrations in August, IndiGo will unveil the specifics of its new business-class product, designed to cater to the rising demand for premium travel in India. The airline’s statement highlighted that this new service would redefine business travel on India’s busiest routes.
Expanding Fleet and Premium Offerings
This announcement follows closely on the heels of IndiGo’s recent decision to purchase 30 wide-body aircraft, reflecting the carrier’s ambitious expansion plans. Currently operating a fleet of over 360 aircraft with approximately 2,000 daily flights, IndiGo is poised to cater to the growing aspirations of Indian travellers.
