IndiGo Launches New Daily Flights to Dubai, Bahrain, Dammam, and Jeddah from June 01

Indian budget airline IndiGo has revealed plans for a substantial expansion in its Middle East operations, introducing six new direct flight services to the region from multiple Indian cities. This move aims to meet the growing demand for travel between India and the Middle East, particularly during the summer season.

New Routes and Flight Schedule

IndiGo’s recently introduced routes include Bengaluru-Dubai, Kochi-Bahrain, and Lucknow-Dammam, set to commence on June 1. Additionally, the airline plans to launch the Ahmedabad-Jeddah route starting on August 11, 2023.

Recognizing the high demand for travel to the Middle East during the summer, IndiGo has also announced seasonal additional flights between Chennai and Dammam, as well as Kochi and Dammam.

Enhanced Connectivity and Travel Experience

With the introduction of these new routes, IndiGo will become the first Indian carrier to operate direct flights between Bengaluru and Dubai, as well as Kochi and Bahrain.

The airline will also be the sole provider of daily direct connectivity between Kochi-Dammam, Lucknow-Dammam, Chennai-Dammam, and Ahmedabad-Jeddah, significantly reducing travel time for passengers.

Expanded Middle East Reach

It is worth noting here that, currently, IndiGo offers connections to 11 destinations in the Middle East, including Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Dammam, Doha, Dubai, Jeddah, Kuwait, Ras Al Khaimah, Riyadh, Sharjah, and Muscat.

The addition of these new flights will enhance accessibility and capacity for travellers to and from the Middle East, catering to the surge in demand during the summer holidays.
