Deoghar Airport
The DGCA of India gave the newly-built airport in Jharkhand an aerodrome license on June 29, allowing it to accommodate narrow-body aircraft like the A321 and B737.
The license has been upgraded from 3C to 4C, allowing commercial operations with aircraft up to the size of an Airbus 321, Boeing 737, or similar. A 3C license permits an airport to handle only regional aircraft such as the ATR-72. It will also make it easier for pilgrims to reach Baidyanath Dhaam.
Deoghar Airport would be the state’s second airport, following Ranchi. The terminal building’s architecture is influenced by the construction of Baba Baidyanath Temple, which is spread across 650 acres. The terminal building features paintings of tribal art, handicrafts, and local tourism attractions.
