Indian Railways to Standardize Signboards at Stations for Passenger Convenience

In an effort to enhance passenger convenience, Indian Railways has announced plans to completely overhaul the signboards at railway stations across the country. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw revealed on Monday that a standardized approach will be adopted for the color, font, and use of pictographs on the new signboards.

“Guidelines released for passenger friendly standardization of signages across all railway stations in India,” said Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in a Tweet.

Uniform Signage to Ensure Consistency and Convenience

As part of the ongoing ‘Amrit Bharat Station Scheme,’ which aims to revamp 1,275 railway stations in India, the Indian Railways intends to implement uniform signage at all stations.
