Indian Railways Cancel 119 More Trains Due To Cyclone Yaas: Full List Here

The South Eastern Railway on Sunday announced that it has decided to cancel 119 more trains originating or terminating from Bhubaneswar, Howrah and Puri due to Cyclone Yaas.

In a press release on Sunday, South Eastern Railway said that in addition to 78 trains announced on Saturday, 41 more will remain cancelled.

Earlier, the East Coast Railway announced that it has cancelled 74 trains originating or terminating from Bhubaneswar and Puri.

Western Railway had also announced cancellation of 7 trains on the Odisha, Gujarat and Rajasthan routes.

In another release it said that SER is prepared to meet the challenges posed by the cyclone. Vidya Bhushan, general manager, South Eastern Railway has reviewed the preparedness with all the Divisional Railway Managers and principal head of the departments, and directed the concerned officials to be on full alert and to ensure the safety for staff and their families, the release said.

It further added that SER has also taken adequate steps by positioning of special teams for early restoration of tracks, signaling system and electrification etc., safety onemergent train operations, to run train, if there will be no electric supply.
