The Consulate General of India in Frankfurt has announced a significant update regarding consular and visa services. Effective January 30, 2025, all applications for passports, visas, OCI (Overseas Citizen of India), renunciation, attestation, and other miscellaneous services will be processed exclusively through the new Consular & Visa Outsourcing Centre.

Enhanced Accessibility and Efficiency for Applicants

The Consulate General of India in Frankfurt, Germany decided to partner with Alankit Assignments Limited to provide a smoother and more convenient experience for individuals seeking consular services. Starting January 30, 2025, applicants must submit all applications through the OSP, whether applying in person or via mail.

Services Available at the New Application Centre

The newly established Indian Consular Application Centre (ICAC) will serve as the central hub for processing applications for the following services:

  • Passports: New passport issuance, renewals, lost/damaged passports.
  • Visas: All categories of Indian visas, including tourist visas, business visas, student visas, and more.
  • OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) Cards: New OCI card applications, renewals, and miscellaneous services.  
  • Renunciation Certificates: Renunciation of Indian citizenship.
  • Attestations: Attestation of documents, including educational certificates, marriage certificates, and other official documents.

Service Fee Introduced for Enhanced Services

In addition to the standard Government of India fees, a nominal service fee of Euro 4.53 (inclusive of all taxes) will be applicable per application. This fee will support the operational costs of the OSP and ensure the provision of high-quality services.

Postal Applications to be Sent Directly to the OSP

Starting January 30, 2025, applicants who want to use postal services should send their applications directly to Alankit Assignments Limited. This direct routing will expedite the processing of postal applications.
