ICP Increases Fees for Golden Visa Applications in UAE

The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICP) has announced that the fee for applying for a Golden Visa in the UAE has been increased from Dhs50 (Rs 1,126) to Dhs150 (Rs 3,379) for a 10-year period.

The ICP has called on foreigners in the country and abroad wishing to obtain a Golden Visa to verify their eligibility to obtain it through the website http://smartservices.icp.gov.ae or the smart application “UAEICP” and follow the steps and instructions to complete the procedures.

Channels for Application Requests

ICP indicated that there are 3 channels through which requests are received, which are “ICP’s website or smart application, customer happiness centres, and typing offices approved by ICP.”

Rejection of Applications

If the application is returned due to data deficiencies or failure to complete the required documents, the application will be rejected electronically after 30 days, according to ICP.

It also stated that if an application is returned three times due to data deficiencies or failure to complete the required documents, it will be rejected.

Refunds

Only issuance fees and financial guarantees, if any, will be refunded in the event that the application is rejected, via credit card within six months of the date of application submission, or via the procedures followed by a cheque or bank transfer within five years.
