Govt To Help Indian Students Studying Abroad And Stuck In India

The Ministry of External Affairs, Govt of India extends help to Indian students studying abroad who are stuck in India due to the Covid-19 pandemic or other similar issues.

The MEA Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi on Saturday in a tweet said, “Indian students studying abroad but stuck in India due to COVID-19 and related issues can get in touch with the OIA-II Division at @MEAIndia.”

The ministry issued a series of guidelines meant to help students find proper directions on getting back to their regular curriculum as soon as possible.

The Ministry of External Affairs suggests all students who stuck in India, follow the below steps to get help from the Indian govt.

  • Get in touch with India’s ministry of external affairs if you are facing mobility issues due to the pandemic.
  • Send your coordinates, i.e. email id and mobile number, to the OIA-II division of the ministry.
  • The emails for the OIA-II division where the students should send their coordinates to are: [email protected] and [email protected]

The announcement comes after many students who studied in aboard have been stuck in India due to travel restrictions imposed or flight suspension by many countries.

It must be noted that due to the Covid-19 outbreak in India many countries have imposed travel restrictions on passengers from India and suspend passengers flights from India. Even some countries had put India on the red list for travel.
