Go First on Friday announced that it will start operating flights to Goa’s new Mopa International Airport from three Indian cities including Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad beginning January 05, 2023.
The airline’s first flight from Bengaluru to Goa will take off at 8:50 a.m. on January 5, followed by the remaining flights According to the current network plan, Goa will be served by direct flights from Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.

It is worth mentioning here that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the state’s second international airport at Mopa in North Goa on December 11, 2022, with operations beginning on January 5.
GO FIRST currently operates 65 nonstop weekly flights to and from Goa’s Dabolim airport. And the airline stated that it will continue to operate from its current airport in Dabolim, in the state’s south.
Kaushik Khona, Chief Executive Officer, of GO FIRST, said;
“As we expand our network in leisure destinations, Goa is an extremely important destination for us. We are pleased to fortify our presence and this new addition will further reflect our unflinching commitment to providing customers with a promising flying experience.”
The carrier recently added its 55th entirely new aircraft to its fleet. The airline claimed in a statement that its average fleet age of 4.1 years makes it among the youngest in the world.
Currently, only 70 flights a day touch down at the airport in Dabolim, the civil enclave. There is no landing permitted at the facility from 9 am to 2 pm.
