As per the report of the Khaleej Times, an official of the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) confirmed that the flight operation between India and UAE will remain suspended till further notice.

“As far as inbound passenger traffic from India is concerned, the status quo remains. We are closely monitoring the situation in India, and a decision on when to lift the suspension on inbound travelers will be taken keeping in mind the safety and security of all parties involved,” the official told Khaleej Times.

“There are no new developments on this front,” the official further added.

Moreover, Emirates, the flag carrier of UAE on Thursday also informed passengers on social media that flights from India to Dubai remained suspended.

Emirates in reply to a passenger said, “Our flights from India remain suspended. We’re waiting for the exact travel protocols and guidelines before we can resume. We’ll update our website when we have new information. Please keep an eye on it.”

Earlier, the airline said to another passenger that “Our flights from India are still suspended until July 6. Once we’ve verified the information about flight resumption, we’ll send out a broadcast,” the airline informed another passenger.

It is worth mentioning that recently UAE has eased the travel restrictions and allowed holders of UAE residency visas who are stuck outside the country to return from certain nations if they have received two doses of a UAE-approved vaccine.

After the announcement comes, Emirates the flag carrier of UAE said that it will be resuming the flights between India and UAE from 23rd June.

Still, travelers including UAE citizens, those on diplomatic missions accredited by the two countries, official delegations, those traveling on business planes, and golden or silver residence holders, can travel between both nations.

However, they will be subject to preventive measures, including a 10-day quarantine and PCR testing at the airport and on the fourth and eighth days after entering the country, said GCAA.
