Finnair, the flag carrier and largest airline of Finland has updated its traffic program for summer 2022, as the closure of Russian airspace impacts Finnair’s Asian traffic.
Finnair has a plan to connect customers from its Helsinki hub to almost 70 European destinations, five North American destinations and eight Asian destinations, including new destination Mumbai, during the summer season of 2022.
Direct Flights Between Mumbai And Helsinki
Finnair has announced the addition of Mumbai as a new destination in the Summer 2022 schedule, as well as regular services between Mumbai and Helsinki beginning in July 2022. With the new launch, Mumbai becomes the airline’s second destination in India.
Finnair will operate from Mumbai and Helsinki three times a week, i.e., on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday, connecting the Indian travellers smoothly to and from Finnair’s vast network.
“We will start three weekly frequencies to a new destination, Mumbai, India, in July 2022. The flights will be available for sale on http://Finnair.com from 5 April onwards,” said Finnair in a Tweet.

“Summer sees us increasing flights to over 300 daily flights,” says Ole Orvér, Finnair Chief Commercial Officer.
“We continue to serve our key Asian destinations despite the longer routings caused by Russian airspace closure, and also have an excellent offering in Europe and North America.”
Strong offering for Europe and North America
In Europe, Finnair has a strong network of almost 70 destinations, including Southern Europe leisure destinations such as Alicante, Chania, Lisbon, Malaga, Nice, Porto and Rhodes, all served with several weekly frequencies.
Those seeking city experiences will enjoy at least double the daily connections Finnair offers to key European cities like Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, Hamburg, London, Milan, Paris, Prague and Rome.
In Scandinavia and the Baltics, Finnair offers multiple daily flights to the capital cities of Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo, Tallinn, Riga, and Vilnius.
The flights are on sale at Finnair.com and at travel agents as of today. The Mumbai flights will be available for sale as of April 5.
