Finnair, the flag carrier and largest airline in Finland started operating new direct flights between Helsinki and Mumbai on August 06.
According to the details shared by the airline, initially, the flights between two cities will be operating three times a week. However, the same will be increased to four times weekly in November (Winter Schedule).

Customers will experience Finnair’s state-of-the-art A330, which offers a choice of flying in Business Class or Economy Class. The new route to Mumbai marks the start of Finnair’s second service to India, with the carrier already flying daily to the capital, New Delhi.
Sakari Romu, Finnair’s General Manager for India, said:
“We are very excited to start our operations from Mumbai. Our three-weekly flights serve our customers not only in providing a connection to Finland but also to our network in the US and major European cities.”
To mark the occasion, the inaugural flight from Helsinki will depart after a joint ceremony between Finnair and Finavia, Finland’s airport operator. Customers onboard will be served specially crafted chocolates from world-renowned Finnish confectioner Fazer as a sweet treat.
Return flights from London to Mumbai begin at £481 for Economy Class and £1,505 for Business Class.
Services are specifically timed to allow for easy connections to Finnair’s global destinations, including top UK airports such as London Heathrow, Manchester, Edinburgh, and Dublin.
