180,000 Applicants in Latest Round

In the most recent application round in April 2024, a staggering 180,000 young people competed for the chance to explore Europe through the DiscoverEU scheme.

Details of the 2024 DiscoverEU Travel Pass

The 35,551 selected travelers will embark on their journeys between July 1, 2024, and September 30, 2025. They have the freedom to travel solo or in groups of up to five, facilitating shared experiences and collective discoveries.

Additionally, recipients will receive a European Youth Card, offering discounts on local transportation, accommodation, cultural sites, sports, learning activities, and dining across Europe.

Selected applicants will receive a travel pass valid for rail travel between July 1, 2024, and September 30, 2025. This eco-friendly mode of transportation allows for scenic journeys and easy connections between European destinations. In some cases, alternative transportation options like ferries or coaches may be offered for accessibility reasons.

DiscoverEU European Youth Card

The adventure doesn’t stop with the travel pass! DiscoverEU participants will also receive a European Youth Card. This card unlocks a treasure trove of discounts on:

Eligibility Requirements
