Etihad Airways to Extend Operations In India With Relaunch of Flights to Kolkata

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, announced last week that it will be expanding its operations in India with the relaunch of flights to Kolkata.

Etihad Airways relaunches flights to Kolkata

The airline will offer daily flights on the Abu Dhabi to Kolkata route, for seven weekly non-stop services, beginning on March 26, 2023. These flights will be operated out of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport (CCU).

Etihad Airways will be operating the flights with an Airbus A320 aircraft, which will feature eight Business Class seats and 150 Economy seats, all offering the airline’s renowned service to passengers.

Etihad Airways is now offering flights to 14 destinations in the Indian Subcontinent, including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives, with the recent resumption of flights to Kolkata.

Martin Drew, Senior Vice President of Global Sales & Cargo, at Etihad Airways, said: “With Etihad Airways continuing to enhance our network, resuming daily flights to this key gateway opens even more connectivity to the Indian Subcontinent for our guests.”

“Our return to Kolkata will also come at the same time as we go double daily to New York, providing better access between India and the United States via Abu Dhabi where our guests can take advantage of our US Preclearance facility for a seamless arrival into the States.”
