Ethiopian Airlines, the flag carrier airline wholly owned by Ethiopia’s government has resumed regular commercial flights between Ethiopia and three Indian cities starting 26th March 2022.
The announcement comes after the Indian government’s resumed the operation of scheduled international flights to and from the country beginning March 27, 2022, in accordance with existing bilateral agreements.
As per the announcement made by the airline, it will connect Addis Ababa with Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru. The flights between Addis Ababa and Delhi, and Mumbai have daily frequency while it has three weekly flights to/from Bengaluru.

COVID-19 Entry Requirements for Ethiopia
- All travellers must present a negative RT PCR test certificate for COVID-19 before boarding a flight. The test must be taken within 120 hours of travel.
- Children under 10 are exempt.
- No COVID-19 tests are available upon arrival in Ethiopia. A Rapid Diagnostic Test is not accepted.
- Before arrival, all passengers must complete a Passenger Health Registration Form.
