Emirates To Operate 170 Weekly Flights To Nine Indian Cities Starting April 01

Emirates, the flagship carrier of UAE has announced that it will resume the pre-pandemic flights’ frequency and start operating a total of 170 weekly services between UAE and nine cities across India effective from 01st April 2022.

The announcement comes after the Indian government’s resumed the operation of scheduled international flights to and from the country beginning March 27, 2022, in accordance with existing bilateral agreements.

“India, it’s great to be back! We’re returning to full flight frequencies from April, with 170 weekly flights to nine cities across the country,” said Emirates in a Tweet.

It is worth mentioning that as of now Emirates is operating flights in UAE and nine Indian cities namely, Mumbai, New Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Thiruvananthapuram. The frequency of flights in all these cities will be increased from April 01.

This enables travellers from both countries with additional flight options for their travel, which may result in more connectivity and lower airfares.

As per the details shared by the airline, it will operate maximum flights to/from Mumbai (35 Weekly flights) while the lowest number of flights (07 Weekly) has been scheduled to operate to/from Thiruvananthapuram.

Emirates Bring Back A380 To India

Emirates has also announced that its popular Airbus A380 service between Dubai and Mumbai has been resumed on a daily basis beginning in March 2022. Emirates flight EK 500/501 is operated by the renowned double-decker aircraft. Emirates used to fly the A380 to Mumbai on a daily basis, but due to the coronavirus and the resulting limited access to the Indian market, Emirates has reduced its few flights to India to the Boeing 777.

Complimentary Chauffeur Drive Service

Customers travelling in First and Business Class with Emirates from Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and New Delhi can avail of complimentary chauffeur drive service to the airport and on arrival at select locations within the airline’s global network.

Customers travelling in premium cabins and Emirates Skywards members in select membership tiers will also have access to Emirates’ exclusive lounge experience in Dubai and select airports around the world.
