The Dubai Health Authorities on Monday issues a new advisory and said, starting from 22nd April 2021, all passengers traveling from India to Dubai will be required to take a Covid-19 (RT-PCR) test within 48 hours before departure.
Moreover, the Covid-19 (RT-PCR) test report will only be accepted from authorized labs that generate a QR Code linked to the test report.
The decision comes amid India has witnessed a huge surge in the number of Coronavirus cases. Indian low-cost carrier Air India Express has also shared advisory in this regard,

IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR PASSENGERS TO DUBAI!
Effective 22 April 2021 at 00:01 hrs, all passengers traveling from India to Dubai Airport must:
- Hold a VALID Covid-19 test certificate that is issued within 48 hours from the time of collecting the sample and also ensure that the time of sample collection – “Date & Time” and time of reporting “Result date and Result time” are accurate.
- The certificate must indicate a NEGATIVE test result, described either in ARABIC or ENGLISH, issued from a certified lab at the original point of destination, where the passenger is traveling from.
- It is MANDATORY that the report includes a QR code that is linked to the original report, for verification by the Airline. On arrival, the Dubai Health Authority representative will verify the same.
