Delhi Airport Updates: 16 flights diverted, 4 cancelled due to dense fog

Dense fog and low visibility in Delhi and NCR hit the air traffic on Monday. Several flights and trains have been cancelled due to dense fog.

As many as Sixteen flights were diverted and four cancelled from the Delhi airport on Monday due to heavy fog, an official said. Giving an update on flight operations at 11:08 am, the official said 16 flights have been diverted and four cancelled as of now.

Delhi Airport has also posted an update on Twitter for Delhi weather and flight operations at 1130 hrs and advise to visit http://bit.ly/DELWeather For live weather updates on the fog situation.

Indian Airlines like Vistara, IndiGo and SpiceJet have also tweeted about poor visibility and asked their passengers to keep a track on their flight status.

“Due to poor visibility in Delhi, our flights are impacted. Do keep a track of your flight status. For rescheduling/cancellation, please visit Plan B,” the airline tweeted.

SpiceJet tweeted, “Due to bad weather at Delhi (DEL), all departures/arrivals and their consequential flights might get affected. Passengers are requested to keep a check on their flight status.”

Vistara has also posted on its Twitter account regarding Fog Alert.

So if you are travelling to or from Delhi Airport it is highly recommended to check the flight status.
