Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI Airport) has resumed the domestic flight operation from the T1 Terminal starting 31st Oct 2021, Sunday after 18 months of closure.
The Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) on October 8 announced that the airport would resume flight operations at its T1 terminal from October 31.
It may be noted that the T3 terminal and T2 terminal of Delhi airport have resumed handling flight operations from May 25, 2020, and July 22, 2021, respectively.
The first flight scheduled from T1 was an Indigo flight which departed for Mumbai at 0105 hours.
Delhi Airport in a tweet shared a video and photos of the first scheduled flight arriving at Terminal 1 after 18 months.
“After almost 18 months of closure, the operations at T1 terminal have resumed with pre-Covid operators, i.e. IndiGo and SpiceJet,” said the statement by Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL).
IndiGo has announced that starting 31st October 2021 the following flight number will arrive and depart from the Delhi Airport Terminals;

Similarly, effective from 31st Oct, all SpiceJet flights will be operating from both Terminals 1 and 3 of IGI Airport, New Delhi.
