Covid-19: 4 Passengers On Air India’s London-Delhi Flight Found Positive

A top official of Genestrings Diagnostic Centre on Monday said that four passengers who are arriving in Air India’s flight from London found positive for coronavirus when tested on arrival at Delhi International Airport.

Genestrings Diagnostic Centre provided the facility of Covid-19 testing at Delhi Airport for all inbound outbound passengers.

Air India’s AI162 flight landed at the Delhi airport at 10.30 pm on Sunday.

“All testing completed within three hours and passengers released within 7.5 hours, even with positive cases,” Gauri Agarwal, the founder of Genestrings Diagnostic Centre, said.

“There was a total of 186 passengers on AI162 London-Delhi flight. Four of them have tested positive for COVID-19,” she added.

It must be noted that the govt. of India has suspended all flights connecting the UK and India on December 23 as a new variant of coronavirus emerged in that country.

The flight operation between both countries has again restored on 7th Jan with new guidelines and quarantine norms for arriving passengers.
