On Tuesday, VFS Global, a visa outsourcing and technology services provider, issued an update for India-based Canada visa applicants about passport submission and collecting decision envelopes on Saturdays.
The VFS Global in its update said that effective Saturday, July 09 Canada Visa Applicants can submit their passports and collect their decision envelopes in person between 9:00 to 14:00 Hrs. at all Visa Application centres in India.
“Important update for our Canada visa applicants in India: Effective, 9 July 2022, Canada visa applicants in India can submit their passports and collect their decision envelopes in-person every Saturday from 9 AM to 2 PM. Appointments are not required. The two-way courier service remains available for passport submissions on weekdays.”
It is also stated that in-person passport submission and collecting is only available on Saturdays. If applicants need to send their passports throughout the week, they can continue to use the Two-way courier service.
Furthermore, walk-ins on Saturdays will not require appointments for people interested in in-person submission and collecting of passports.
VFS Walk-In Services On Saturdays
On June 18, the VFS Global enabled India-based Canada Visa applicants to submit their passports and collect their decision envelopes in person only on Saturdays at the VACs in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, New Delhi, and Jalandhar.
However, VFS Global has suspended Saturday walk-in services at all visa application centres except Mumbai, Chennai, and Pune last week.
but, now the walk-in service on Saturday will be resumed at all Canada VAC including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jalandhar, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi and Pune.
The Visa Application Centres (VACs) will only be operational on Saturdays for passport submission and decision envelope collecting. On Saturdays, the VAC will be open from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
It is important to note that travel agents and representatives are not able to submit passports or collect DEs until further notice. Applicants may continue to use the two-way courier service for passport submission and DE collection on weekdays.
