According to a senior BSF official, this website has been launched exclusively for free booking of seats online, for attending the Retreat Ceremony at Attari, Amritsar. The booking of seats has been started on January 1, 2023.

Seat booking would be available 48 hours prior to the date of visit, OTP-enabled registration to authenticate the visitor and a QR code is also generated for faster identification.

Beating the Retreat Ceremony

A military tradition that marks the end of the day’s official duties is the Beating the Retreat ceremony. It is a formal ceremony held in many countries around the world that typically includes the playing of military music, the lowering of the national flag, and the ceremonial closing of the day’s activities.

Prior to the launch of this website, visitors to the Retreat Ceremony in Attari, Amritsar had to arrive at the event without any prior booking and hope for accommodation from the Border Security Force (BSF). The BSF would then check their IDs and decide whether or not they could attend the ceremony.

With the launch of the new website, visitors will be able to book seats in advance and have a guaranteed spot at the event. This should make attending the Retreat Ceremony easier and more efficient for visitors.
