Akasa Air Launches Daily Direct Flights from Mumbai to Abu Dhabi

Akasa Air, India’s youngest airline, has set its sights on the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with the launch of daily direct flights to Abu Dhabi. This exciting development marks the carrier’s third international destination, further expanding its network and catering to the growing demand for air travel between India and the UAE.

Inaugural Flight from Mumbai to Abu Dhabi

The inaugural flight took off from Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, bound for Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi. This new route promises to offer affordable and convenient travel options for passengers, strengthening the air travel links between India and the UAE.

Akasa Air ventured into international skies in March 2024. Currently, the airline operates flights to Doha, Riyadh, and Abu Dhabi, and has also begun ticket sales for flights to Jeddah. Additionally, the airline has been granted traffic rights for Kuwait and Medina in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
