Air Seychelles has today announced the resumption of flights connecting Tel Aviv to Seychelles as from Wednesday, 18 November, 2020. This is the result of the inclusion of Israel by the Seychelles Ministry of Health on the list of “green countries” allowed entry into Seychelles.
Prior to departure from Tel Aviv, travellers will need to submit a Health Travel Authorization, available online following the completion of a negative COVID-19 PCR test result. Travellers must also have a booking voucher of a recognised hotel and credible health insurance, in addition to abiding to social distance and hygiene rules. Definitions of the procedures to be followed are enclosed.
Air Seychelles will commence with two-weekly flights, on Tuesday and Wednesday, departing Tel Aviv at 2325hrs, and arriving in Seychelles at 0745hrs the following morning. The return flight is planned on Monday and Wednesday at 1730hrs, arriving in Tel Aviv at 2150hrs. The flights will be operated by the new Airbus A320neo aircraft of 12 business class seats. Flight time is 6:20 hours.
To celebrate its return to service, Air Seychelles is offering a limited number of seats at USD 499 inclusive of all taxes for every departure in November. Flights can be booked online, or via a travel agency.
Charles Johnson, CCO of Air Seychelles, commented: “After an 8 month absence from the Tel Aviv-Seychelles route, we are thrilled to be returning to our normal commercial flights this month.
“Thanks to the geographic isolation of the country, Seychelles is a safe destination for tourists who want to get away from the stress of 2020 and enjoy a relaxing beach holiday. Seychelles has taken enormous steps to keep its citizens and visitors safe during this pandemic, and entry into the country is limited to select nationalities. We look forward to welcoming our Israeli guests back to our stunning islands.”
