The decision by Air India to reintroduce this flight service comes at a crucial time when the Amritsar-Mumbai route is facing a significant demand and capacity deficit due to the recent financial issues and temporary suspension of operations by GoFirst Airlines.

Yogesh Kamra, the Convenor (India) of the Fly Amritsar Initiative, commended Air India’s management for addressing this situation and meeting the needs of affected passengers.

The revival of the Amritsar-Mumbai flight service by Air India provides much-needed relief to travellers who were inconvenienced by GoFirst’s suspension of flight operations on this route.

Prior to the suspension, Go First operated two daily flights, while Indigo operated one flight per day. Air India’s decision to step in and provide a dependable and efficient flight service on this high-demand route will undoubtedly benefit passengers.
