Air India To Start Daily Flights Between Delhi And Vancouver From August 31

Air India on Sunday, August 07 said it is all set to boost the frequency of its flights between Delhi and Vancouver. From August 31st, the Indian carrier will operate daily flights to Vancouver, up from its current three weekly flights.

The decision to add four more weekly flights to its New Delhi-Vancouver route comes amid the increased demand for flights between India and Canada. From August 31st, the frequency will be increased to 14 flights a week to and from Canada.

It may be noted that, currently, Air India is the only carrier that operates direct flights between India and Vancouver.

Air India Delhi-Vancouver Flight Schedule

According to information available on the airline’s official website, beginning August 31st, daily flights as per the schedule below will be operated by the airline’s Boeing 777-300ER fleet, which currently operates three times per week.

Notably, the Boeing 777-300ER has 342 seat capacity in total, with four in first class, 35 in business, and 303 in the economy class.

Air India’s MD and CEO, Campbell Wilson, stated;

“This increase in our frequency between Delhi and Vancouver is very welcome for many reasons. It is another sign of recovery from the pandemic and caters to strong customer demand. More importantly, it marks the first step in restoring Air India’s fleet and international network.”

As its widebody fleet returns to service, the Indian carrier intends to expand its long-haul offerings, including India-US flights.
