Air India To Operate Additional Flights Between India & Canada

Air India, in its tweet on July 31, announced 12 additional flights between India & Canada from 18th to 30th August 2020 under Vande Bharat Mission 5.

The flights will be operating from Delhi to Toronto and Vancouver.

  • Delhi-Toronto-Delhi : 18th, 20th, 22nd, 25th, 27th, and 29th August 2020.
  • Delhi-Vancouver-Delhi : 19th, 21st, 23rd, 26th, 28th, and 30th August 2020.

Bookings will open on 31st July 2020 at 2000 hrs IST, through Air India Website and Booking Offices ONLY.

As India has begun the fifth phase of the Vande Bharat Mission, more bilateral air bubbles are expected to be announced with more countries.

The fourth phase of the Vande Bharat mission brought back up to 2.5 lakh Indians from 53 countries around the world.

A total of 1,197 flights have been planned as part of Phase 4 of the Vande Bharat mission, including 945 international flights and 252 feeder flights, MEA spokesman Anurag Srivastava said at a press conference.

694 flights reached India on July 22 and have almost returned one lakh to date, he said. Phase 4 is expected to continue until August 2nd. By then, around 80,000 more people are expected to return.

On July 22, 7,88,217 Indian nationals returned. 1,03,976 Indians have returned from Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh across land borders.
