Air India, Singapore Airlines Expand Codeshare Network with 51 New Routes

In a major development for travellers, Air India and Singapore Airlines (SIA) have announced the addition of 11 domestic and 40 international destinations to their codeshare network.

First Expansion Since 2010

This marks the first codeshare expansion between the two airlines since 2010. The collaboration will offer increased flight choices between Singapore and India, particularly benefiting passengers travelling between the two countries. The new codeshare services will come into effect from October 27, 2024, according to a joint statement by both airlines.

Expanded Services Between Singapore and India

The expanded codeshare agreement will increase the weekly scheduled services between Singapore and India from 14 to 56. Air India and SIA will now codeshare on flights between Singapore and Bengaluru and Chennai, improving access for travellers commuting between these major cities.

Domestic Codeshare Routes in India

Under the new agreement, Singapore Airlines will codeshare on several of Air India’s domestic routes. These include flights between Delhi and:

  • Lucknow
  • Varanasi

In addition, SIA will also codeshare on Air India flights from Mumbai to:
