Air India Offers 1 Free Date Change For Flights Between Kolkata And Dhaka

Indian national carrier Air India on Tuesday informed that it will be offering one free date/flight change for those who have confirmed tickets on the Kolkata-Dhaka-Kolkata sector for the travel period between 14th and 20th April 2021.

“Air India is offering one free change of date/flight (conditions apply) to passengers with confirmed tickets on the Kolkata-Dhaka-Kolkata sector from 14th-20th April, ’21, due suspension of all international flights to & from Bangladesh.” Air India said in a tweet.

The decision comes after the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) announced the suspension of international flights for one week starting from April 14 (Today) with the commencement of the hard-lockdown in the country.

It is important to mention that the circular issued by CAAB also stated that the passengers coming by the flights cleared under the special consideration will have to undergo a 14 days institutional quarantine at the government-nominated facilities or hotels at the passenger’s own expense.

Earlier on April 1, the CAAB issued an office order which said 4 days hotel quarantine is mandatory for all passengers from India, Singapore, Malaysia, China, Oman, UAE upon arrival in Bangladesh at their own expenses.

Besides, passengers from Doha shall not be allowed to enter Bangladesh till 18 April during the embargo period.
