Air India Launched Non-Stop Flight Between Delhi And Milan: Details, Schedule Here

Air India an Indian full-service carrier owned by the Tata Group has launched a four-times-a-week non-stop operation from Delhi to Milan on February 1, 2023.

The airline will also soon start operations from Delhi to Vienna and Copenhagen, significantly expanding its footprint in Europe.

“Come aboard for a non-stop experience of comfort starting with various beverages, followed by a wholesome warm meal and authentic Indian hospitality when you fly with us from Delhi to Milan,” said Air India in a Tweet.

Flight Schedule and Aircraft

According to the details shared by the carrier, flight AI137 from Delhi to Milan operates on Wednesdays, Fridays, Sundays, and Mondays. The flight departs Delhi at 1420 hrs. and lands in Milan at 1830 hrs local time.

While the return flight, AI138, will depart Milan at 2000 hrs. and reach Delhi at 0800 hrs. the next day.

The flights are operated by the next-generation B787-8 Dreamliner aircraft, with 18 Business Class and 238 Economy Class seats. The non-stop service will benefit tourists, business travellers, and the Indian and Italian diaspora.

Launch Event

The launch event on February 1, 2023, was attended by Air India’s Chief Customer Experience & Global Head of Ground Handling, Rajesh Dogra, along with senior Air India officials and GMR & AISATS executives. The first flight was greeted with a warm welcome at the Malpensa Airport in Milan by dignitaries.

Expansion Plans

The resumption of the Delhi-Milan flight is part of Air India’s expansion plans, which include serving 7 cities in Europe with 79 weekly non-stop flights, 48 to the United Kingdom and 31 to Continental Europe.

The airline continues to make progress in augmenting its fleet with leased aircraft and returning existing aircraft to active service.
