Air India Extends Waiver For UAE Flights Till July 21

Flag-carrier Air India has extended the waiver for UAE flights till 21st July 2021, the decision comes after the UAE govt announced a further extension of entry restriction into UAE.

The General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) of UAE has issued a NOTAM (Notice Issued to Airmen) and said that the flights from India and 13 other countries will remain suspended until 23:59 hrs. of July 21, 2021.

In view of the same, one free date change to passengers holding confirmed 098 documents for sector India-UAE-India with tickets with travel dates till 21st July 2021, will be allowed to any future date as per the validity of the ticket, except the exempted categories.

In case the same booking class is not available, passengers will be booked in the available booking class in the same cabin.

The date may be changed to any future date as per the validity of the ticket. In case the passenger wants to cancel, NIL charges will apply.

Free change can be availed only once, in case of subsequent changes, rules as per the original booking class will apply.

New waiver code: 13/AE/E5/2021

It must be noted that the waiver will not apply to passengers holding One Way tickets n the UAE-INDIA sector.

Meanwhile, last week the United Arab Emirates (UAE) imposed a ban on its citizens to travel to India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Namibia, Zambia, Congo, Uganda, Sierra Leone, Liberia, South Africa, and Nigeria.
