low-cost airline and a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Indian flag carrier, Air India Express earlier this week announced its schedule for the month of December. As per the published schedule, the airline will operate a total of 68 flights between India and Qatar.
As per the official website of Air India Express, it will connect Doha, Qatar to India’s Kannur, Kochi, Kozhikode, Mumbai, and Trichy.

Air India Express will operate these flights under the air bubble arrangements with the State of Qatar.
As per the air bubble agreement between the two countries, Indian carriers and Qatar Airways are permitted to operate flights between India and Qatar and carry the following categories of persons on such flights:
- From India to Qatar:
- Qatari nationals;
- Any Indian national holding any type of valid Qatar visa and destined for Qatar only. It would be for the airlines concerned to ensure that there is no travel restriction for Indian nationals to enter Qatar with the particular visa category before the issue of ticket/ boarding pass to the Indian passenger.
- From Qatar to India:
- Indian nationals stranded in Qatar;
- All Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders holding Qatari passports, and
- Qatari nationals (including diplomats) holding valid visas issued by an Indian Mission in any category covered under Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA)Â guidelines dated 30.06.2020Â as amended from time to time.
