Air India Express Announced Winter Schedule For Flights To Qatar From 8 Indian Cities

Air India Express, an Indian low-cost airline and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Air India on Tuesday announced the winter schedule for flights to Doha, Qatar from 8 Indian cities.

According to the airline’s statement, Air India Express would operate flights to Doha, Qatar from Kochi, Kannur, Mangaluru, Mumbai, Trichy, Thiruvananthapuram (via Kolkata), and Kozhikode during the winter schedule, which begins on October 30, 2022, and ends on March 25, 2023.

Flights from Kochi and Kozhikode to Doha will be daily, while flights from Mangaluru and Trichy will be twice a week, Mumbai to Doha would be three times a week, and Thiruvananthapuram and Kannur will have four and five flights each week, respectively.

Air India Express has also open the booking for flights to Qatar till 25th March 2022, tickets can be booked through its Official Website, Booking Offices, Call Centre, Mobile App & Authorized Travel Agents.

Guidelines For Travelling to Qatar

Qatar has relaxed the Covid-19 related restrictions for its international travellers arriving in the country; All Resident Permit (RP) holders who are fully vaccinated or have completely recovered from Covid-19 have been exempted from the pre-travel RT-PCR and also quarantine upon arrival.

Unvaccinated RP holders travelling from India must;

  • Carry pre-travel negative RT PCP result of test taken within 48 hrs of departure;
  • Undergo a 5-day hotel quarantine; and
  • Take Rapid Antigen test 5 days after arrival.

Visitors (all new visa holders) from India, who are fully vaccinated and are recovered from COVID-19 must;

  • Carry negative results of RT-PCR tests done within 48 hrs of time of departure and…
  • Undergo 1-day hotel quarantine.

It must be noted that all unvaccinated visitors from India are not permitted to enter Qatar.

Qatar Changed Visa On Arrival Requirements For India

If you are planning to travel to Qatar, you must be aware of the recent changes to the requirements for obtaining a Visa On Arrival (VOA) for nationals of India, Pakistan, and Iran, beginning April 14, 2022.

According to the Qatar Govt. travellers arriving from India, Pakistan, and Iran can obtain a free tourist visa upon arrival for the duration of a Confirmed Hotel Reservation in one of the country’s hotels available through the Discover Qatar Website only.

The visa can be extended for a maximum stay of (60 days) when the hotel reservation is extended.
