Indian national carrier Air India on Saturday announced additional flights between India and United States starting from 21st December 2021 under the air bubble arrangements.
As per the announcement made by the airline, it will be operating one additional flight between Delhi And San Francisco, Chicago. These flights are in addition to existing flights operating in these sectors.
The announcement comes amid the huge demand for travel between India and the United States. It is worth mentioning that foresee further restrictions between India and the US due to the new Covid-19 variant, airfares and bookings for the next fortnight have skyrocketed.
Air India Additional Flights Between Delhi And San Francisco
Air India will be operating the following flights on the Delhi-San Francisco-Delhi sector every Tuesday starting from 21 Dec 2021 and will continue to operate till 25th March 2022.
The Airline also announced that these flights are in addition to the existing flights operating in this sector.

Air India Additional Flights Between Delhi And Chicago
Apart from DEL-SFO-DEL, the airline has also announced one additional flight on the Delhi-Chicago-Delhi route as per the below schedule.
It is worth mentioning that the flight from Delhi to Chicago will be operating every Wednesday while the return flight will be operating every Friday.

Average Fare of Air India, United, Lufthansa Comparable To Pre-Covid Level
Earlier this week, V K Singh, Minister of State for Civil Aviation said that the average economy class fares on air bubbles flights of Air India, United Airlines, and Lufthansa are comparable to the average fares of pre-Covid level.
V K Singh in his written response to a question in Rajya Sabha said;
“As per details of fare submitted by Air India (the only Indian carrier operating to Europe and North America), United Airlines (operating between India and USA) and Lufthansa (operating between India and Germany), average fares for travel by economy class, under the air travel bubble arrangements, are comparable to the average fares during winter 2019 schedule (pre-Covid)”
