Air Arabia, the Emirati low-cost airline has recently announced direct flights between Chennai And Abu Dhabi, starting from 27 April 2022.
According to the airline’s announcement, it would operate two weekly flights between the two cities on Mondays and Wednesdays. Per the schedule, 3L142 will depart Chennai at 20:25 and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 23:00; the same flights will depart Abu Dhabi at 14:00 and arrive in Chennai at 19:45.

It may be noted that these flights will be operated by ‘Air Arabia Abu Dhabi‘ which is a joint venture between Etihad and Air Arabia and operate as a low-cost passenger airline with its hub in Abu Dhabi International Airport.
Recently, the airline has also announced a new direct flight service to Jaipur, Rajasthan’s capital, commencing on May 5, 2022. Flights between Jaipur and Abu Dhabi will be operating twice a week every Monday and Thursday.
Guidelines For Passengers Flying To Abu Dhabi
Vaccinated passengers arriving in the UAE: Vaccinated passengers who have taken a complete dosage of any approved covid-19 vaccine are no longer required to conduct a PCR test prior to departure provided that they present a vaccination certificate with a QR code. Passengers are no longer required to conduct a Rapid PCR test at the airport 6 hours prior to departure. Children below 12 years are exempt from the test.
Non- vaccinated passengers arriving in the UAE: Non-vaccinated passengers are required to conduct a covid-19 PCR test within 48 hours prior to departure. Passengers who have recently recovered from a past covid-19 infection can present a recovery certificate and will be exempt from the test. All passengers are no longer required to conduct a Rapid PCR test at the airport 6 hours prior to departure. Children below 12 years are exempt from the test.
Guidelines For Passengers Flying To India
Vaccinated passengers from the UAE and approved countries: Passengers who received a complete dosage of the Covid-19 vaccine in the UAE or one of these countries are no longer required to conduct the PCR test prior to their flight, provided they present their vaccination certificate upon check-in.
Non- vaccinated passengers and passengers arriving from other countries: Non-vaccinated passengers and vaccinated passengers who received their vaccine from a country not part of this list are required to conduct a covid-19 PCR test within 72 hours prior to their flight departure. Children below 5 years are exempt from the test.
